Missi0ns

GMM hosts several mission teams each year and they are a very important part of the ministry. There are many different opportunities for service, with evangelism being the basis for everything we do as we follow Christ's command to Go and Tell. When we build a house or provide food, healthcare, and other basic needs, people see His love and care. We work mainly with the children and families of La Obraje, but with the surrounding areas as well. 

Many teams go with construction as their focus. There are plenty of ongoing projects at the school and on the homes of the families nearby. Medical teams with doctors, dentists, and support people are also a much needed ministry. The sweet people we serve have ongoing needs because of their living conditions and diet. The teams quickly find that interacting with the children at the school or helping serve them lunch is their favorite part of the trip! 

There are also groups that take school supplies, shoes, sewing kits, hygiene kits and other needed items. Vacation Bible School for kids, Bible studies for men and women, worship services, prayer with families at the local hospital, and sports camps are ways mission groups have found to use their talents to share the Good News!
