Greetings!

Welcome to the new web site for Global Missions of Mercy. It’s been a challenge to wedge the need for donations into a commerce model designed around selling, taxing, and shipping physical items, but it looks like we’re almost there. Three main things remain before going live.

First, the subscription process for recurring donations will be in a pass or fail state in about 4 hours. The site allows specific timeframes for virtual (no physical product) sales, and the test subscription is for a daily charge. I’ll know if that works this afternoon.

Second, the ability to use ACH transfers, for online checks, has been applied for through the payment processor. I’m monitoring several times a day to see when that goes live.

And third, if we’re going to take donations, they need to be delivered into the non-profit’s bank account. That process is in the works, everything is basically set up for it except that when trying to add a bank it’s asking for the wrong information. It’s possible that a recent host upgrade assumes we’re in Canada, for a while it thought we were in Ireland. Tickets are submitted and response has been daily this week so I have high hopes this will be complete very soon.
